Idea - All in or Fold Torunament

So seeing as I'm up so early this morning I've been having brainwaves. One of which is that someone should run an All in or Fold Tournament. During the Waterford Open the All in or Fold sats into the side events were great craic, with lots of added mayhem, and I think this bit of fun could be tapped into.

This couldnt be run off as a stand alone tournament. But for one of the many festivals out there this would make a nice little addition I think. A small enough pay in, run it during a break or sometime where there's lots of people milling about (ideally if its a stage when a fair amount of drink has been taken then so much the better). Everyone gets 1 chip and usual All in or Fold rules apply. Tournament to be run off like a shootout, with the table winner advancing to the final table, where everyone starts again with 1 chip.

Thoughts? Perhaps its been done before, I dunno.

Maybe my brainwave is more of a brainfart!

I was all in favour of the bucking bronco at the citiwest game but dont make a bucking bronco out of the game is all.

I reckon this would take about an hour or so to complete in total and would be a good laugh. I wouldnt want to see it having any effect on the main tournaments.

    Anyway just a thought.

Any tournament organisers think its doable or worthwhile?

I like it but I would prefer to keep the chips won for the Final Table regardless! :pac:

This was suggested to me earlier this by either Emmett Gough or John Weafer. The idea was the same but the winner was to get a Ticket into my Masters Tournament.

I meant to do it at the time but completely forgot at the time for some reason. I think it could be a winner. You would need a big crowd maybe €20 each....

Yeah, the idea came to me out in the Majestic at the Big Slick Event. They ran single table all in or fold sats into the €100 side event. Created a great buzz.

€20 entry would be great. If you could generate enough interest for 8-10 tables thats a big prizepool.

Electra Blue - Everyone starting the final table would have the same number of chips anyway, and as its all in or fold, it shouldnt matter if its 1 chip or 10.

yep thats what Big Slick were doing as well. I'm really just suggesting an extension of it. A number of single table's with the winner of each advancing to a final table.
