Where to get wisdom tooth removed

I was told by my dentist I need a wisdom tooth removed. It has a cavity that cant be filled and if left it will start to damage my other teeth.

My problem is that I use my dentist back home (in the UK) when ever I go home which is grand for everyday stuff (fillings, clean and polishes) but he cant do the whole wisdom tooth thing for me. He has all the x rays done so I dont want to go through all that again if I dont need to.

So in essence can anyone recommend where to go? I live in Clane in Kildare if anyone can help?
