I do not get along with 'taken' girls

So these days I usually don't bother with them at all. As soon as they tell me they are taken I won't really bother with them unless they ask me. but I try not to mingle with them. Ya see in most cases they will get consumed by their relationship and won't notice my absence anyway. In years gone by I felt bad and from time to time I would try to mingle with them anyway, eventually they move on. Most chicks I knew a few years back have 'moved on'. I'm 20 so this seems to be the time that everybody 'moves on'.

These I can't text for the craic anymore, because they either don't respond because they are so 'busy' or worse they see me texting them as a threat to their feeble relationship and I get jealous boyfriends threatening to kill me. I don't even try to chat these chicks up and just talk to them about normal, boring stuff but even that gets me into trouble.

It wouldn't have been that long ago that there was a muppet standing at the door giving out to me because I sent his wife a text asking how she was, because I didn;t see her for a while. There's a rumour on the street that this muppet isn't right in the head but when it happens a couple of times in a few months I start to wonder if i'm the one that isn't right in the head. I feel bad for not bothering to even talk to these happy and enthusiastic girls that are delighted with their little relationship but at this point I really can't be arsed with the trouble anymore, I want to stay friends with these people but apparently its more trouble than it's worth. and unacceptable to text girls who have boyfriends for whatever reason, unlike in 2001 when you could text anyone you want and unless you said some dirty **** to them they wouldn't mind.
