solid fuel fire/stove with external air supply

    who is using a system of cold air feed from outside to their soild fuel stoves.
    I'm looking for a few pointers, manufacturers, inlet pipe size, flow adjustments.

    In particular how is the join between the stove and the incoming pipe made good/tidy looking.

    I've installed a 100mm dia. air inlet pipe. I placed it in the floor beside my stove. Its main aim was to prevent the stove "sucking" hot air from the room, causing a draught.

    I believe in providing a wall vent beside an open fire for the same reason.

    The "L" shaped pipe has standard covers to prevent mice entering.
    Consider its position in floor / hearth - spilt ash also, don't want to block vent of have to clean it out.

    I have allowed for a 100mm pipe also. I hoping to place it in a slight slope toward the outside of the building so it can be flushed out at anytime.

    I was looking for a direct coupling then to the stove so that the room air is not drawn into the stove intake, with some type flow adjuster.
