I just bought an enclosure for a portable media player. It takes a 2.5" IDE drive. Where can I get a decent one at a decent price? I'm looking for a 320Gb or a 500Gb.

that size is to big for a 2.5 ide drive. 160 to 300 is more realistic. the bigger the drive the longer it takes to find a file and uses more battery power. the best place and price would be on komplett.ie . I have not heard of a media player that takes a 2.5 drive, what is it called. or is it a normal 2.5 drive enclosure?

The Archos 605 80/160gb use 2.5" drives, however these cannot be replace manually as the are software locked by Archos... dunno if that's the PMP the OP is using but it is food for thought none the less.

    Thanks guys.

    I've ordered a 250Gb hdd from Komplett.ie

The media player itself is a HD DIVX Hard Disk Player. It's a nifty little thing - the player itself is just marginally bigger than the remote control that comes with it.
