Hey, I'm heading into this course in September, and I'd really like to do a bit of reading before I get there. I have a bit too much time on my hands so reckon getting a head start isn't a bad idea. Anyone know what books are essential for first year?? I know I have to get Kotler, any others? Any help would be great.

    doesn't really help her.

ash, try ring the following person

    Roger Sherlock - School of Marketing 01 402 7033

basically just ask for the names/emails/contact info of lecturers and start emailing/ringing around.

there doesn't seem to be many marketing students on boards doing this course so this may be your best bet.

i tried looking around to see if any marketing notes are up on the dit website but i don't think there is, they are probably all stored on WebCT which you need a user id and password and to be given access to certain course, which you'll only get once you register in september.

If you have time and patience, read http://www.hbsp.harvard.edu/hbsp/index.jsp;jsessionid=OVVZEXOELMAA4AKRGWDR5VQBKE0YIISW?_requestid=137303 (That's Harvard Business Press)
When I say patience I mean that the pages take an eternity to load up.

The good thing about it is, every article is to the point and has a relevance to everyday life.
