I have been trying to order from Pixmania for the last two weeks. I can't finalise my order. When I click order your basket it just goes back to a shopping page. I've tried eveything. I rang them and they said there was a problem with the Irish site and they would get someone to ring me back to take my order. They rang next day when I was at work and I tried but couldn't get back to them. Itought the site would be fixed in a day or two but thatis 2 weeks ago and I still can't order. Tried to order from home and work computer so computer not at fault. Anyone else having problems?

pixmania don't have their own branded shops but afaik are owned and run by the same company that owns dixons / currys / pcworld if that's any help?

My sister ordered 2 TVS off them yesterday, paid by credit card and all, but the order is still "being validated by the customer service department"

    Is this normal?

yeah, they'll probably ask her to fax over her bank/card statement for verification.

I'll never deal with them again(see my thread in consumer issues)

I've bought stuff off them before with no trouble. Their deliver is slow as Christmas though - last time I did, it took them a week to despatch the order. Same thing with a friend of mine who ordered about a fortnight later.

Have ordered several times. No problems. Could track orders online. Absolutely excellent service. My first order was early 2007.

Yeah, despite my sister giving the same delivery address as her credit card address, the muppets at pixmania still wanted her to send a fax of her passport and a utility bill that can't include a mobile phone bill.

You're trying to do them a favour by giving them business and they're requesting extremely personal documents.

What's worse is that despite saying that card debited on day of shipping she got a call from her bank saying they did in fact debit her card. WTF? absolute shower of muppets. How can they do business this way?

    She's cancelled anyway.

    Twats.
