    Just seen we have a new mod and the question must be asked

    AFAIK, he's a new Games cmod so automatically gets made a mod of every forum under Games, i.e. such as Poker because it's under the Games catagory, just like amp is a mod here, doubt we'll be seeing much of him TBH.

    Also, no mod is Voted in here, they are appointed... as you all know this ain't no democracy.

    I don't remember there ever being a Vote available, there was a suggestion thread alright, but certainly it was never going to be put to a Vote, once again, boards isn't a democracy.

    Cause it would probably be a help if he knew somethin about the forum not just a blow in who would go around closing every thread. We have enough dictator mods imo:p

    This is correct. New Cmod for Games has been needed for a while now, amp doesn't seem to be around a huge amount these days and there's constant bickering and the like going on in some of the console forums with the mods doing sfa there.

    Besides, it's the new person you bring any gripe with Laf/Ste/etc to if you can't settle it between yourselves, in effect it's the moderator to the moderators and their influence won't really be felt in any individual forum.

    Also, had a bit of a chuckle at people thinking there was a democracy on Boards :)

    Yeah it is, but it's run by nazi dictators ... did some people miss that memo?? Have a read of Feedback every now and again to see some of our (mods in general, us poker mods are great IMO) atrocities.

    Still a community, just not a democratic one... :p

    Looks like BOPS could be the man for the job to clean out some of the rif-raf... :D

    When 5starpool became a mod it was better because they picked someone who already spent a lot of time of the forum and knows a lot about the Irish Poker scene etc, they did the same thing in Horse Racing a while ago, picked a mod who hasnt a notion about racing who spends no time there and went around closing everything and just being a bit of a goon.

    Read the above about him being a cmod and not a forum specific mod.

    It's really nothing to worry about.
