Until now I was going to get 8800GTS, but since ATi announced the 48xx series I'll go for Radeon 4870.

But I am a bit confused now: should I stick with AMD/ATi and get AMD Phenom 9850 CPU or should I go for Intel Q6600 or Q9300 platform?

Intel are best at the moment.

yeah get a nice intel board with crossfire capabilities and stick a q6600 or e8500 in there , you'll get allot more performance from the intel cpu's

Thanks guys! :) I decided to take E8400 with Asus P5K-E/WIFI. Isn't the E8400 a better deal than E8500? Price difference is 60 euro.
