The only Shaolin Monk in Ireland www.shaolintempleireland.ie

Shi Fu Shi Xing Jun (who's birth name is Wang Rui Jun) arrived here in Ireland three monks ago. He is a 32nd generation Song Shan Shaolin Temple Martial Monk.He is a disciple of the famous Shaolin Master, Shi De Yang.Wang Rui Jun began training in his home town at the age of four, under the ying gong (hard skill) master Sun Xin.At the age of 11, Wang Rui Jun’s grandfather, a friend of Master Shi De Yang, brought Wang Rui Jun to Song Shan North Shaolin Temple for an audience with Shi De Yang. Master Shi De Yang scrutinised Wang Rui Jun doing the hard form ‘Gui Ding Quan’. Only after seeing Wang Rui Jun’s already excellent Kung Fu was he permitted to enter Song Shan North Shaolin Temple and train to become part of the Martial Monk troupe. He was given the Shaolin Monk name Shi Xing Jun.

At the end of 200 Master Shi De Yang and Head Abbot Master Shi Su Xi accompanied 20 Shaolin Wuseng (martial monks) to Putian South Shaolin Temple to help in the rengeration of South Temple.Shi Xing Jun became the head coach of the South Shaolin Temple Martial Monks Troupe.

Hugh entered Putian Shaolin Temple in 2005 to learn traditional Shaolin Temple Kung Fu.He trained in bei tui, or northern leg style. He lived there for over a year, and was given the 33rd generation secular disciple name Shi Yong Xiu.Hugh is also the first white person to have trained in South Shaolin Temple.

‘Although I only lived there for a short time, it made me appreciate how difficult it is to obtain the title of Wuseng, or Shaolin Martial Monk.

Pretty cool to have someon of that long a lineage in Ireland. Quick question for the OP, does this guy compete? I would be interested in booking him to be in my show.
