Looking for generic firmware 11.116.05.02.11 or newer for E220

    I've got a E220 locked to T-Mobile

    I tried flashing with generic firmware from the huawei site here

    I then went to an unlocking site here and paid the E15 for credits

    I get a message
    "Try to reflash firmware to version 11.116.05.02.11 or newer"

    The software version on the huawei site is 11.110.05.00.00

    Can anyone say where I could get the newer version?
    OR
    Anyone with experience of unlocking one of these, please share

    The link to Huawei you posted is not for the firmware, it's for the generic dashboard software update i.e. the windows drivers & software you use to connect.

    Due to contract obligations, Huawei cannot distribute generic firmware updates, you need to get them from the operator.

    To unlock an E220, contact T-mobile and ask them to send on the unlocking software + the unlock code. Alternatively you can ask them for a firmware update recent enough to allow you to use the unlocking site you linked to.
