screen format

    not sure if this is the right place for this but any advice would be appreciated .i have a sony bravia tv with sky+ hooked up to it and since sunday evening when i flick thru the stations the screen format skips between widescreen and 4/3 some stations change some dont.never happened before.anyone got any ideas what to do

    Setanta sports does that to my bravia, sometimes it can't make up its mind and keeps switching.

    I'd say your best bet is to check the settings on you sky box, see what they're set at for screen size/type. You can then mess with the settings of both the TV and box and see which works best. Have you tried changing the sony's screen setting from auto to wide?

    Turn off Auto Format on your TV should be in the Features->Screen menu or in the main Screen menu depends on the TV model number but it is there somewhere, this is different to the sceen format setting which you set to wide.
