I have just moved to Ireland. I will be working in Carlow. I am debating where to live, and am considering Dublin. I would need to live close-ish to the N9 or N81.

Where would the best place to live be, what are the dodgy areas to avoid.

Does anyone have an idea of how long it would take to commute?

    cheers

If you're going to be living in Dublin close to the N9 or N81, you'd probably be better off trying the Dublin South forum, so I'm going to move this over there.

Moved from Dublin 15 forum and thread title expanded for clarity.
