Right so I'm in the US at the moment and I need to charge my phone, sorry if it's a really stupid question:o but is it ok to just plug it in with the adapter thingy or will it blow it? I'm thinking it should be ok with the power supply here not being as high as at home, can anyone help???

What does it say on the charger itself?

    Look for input voltage.

All mobile phone power supplies/chargers are dual voltage. Just look at the writing on the power suplpy if you want to check.
It will say 100-240v so all you need to do is simply change the plug to fit an american socket using a travel adaptor.

    It'll be ok.
Phones these days (most electrical apps in fact) are made so they can run on any voltage

there should be a small piece of text on the plug and it should say on it, among other things, 100V-240V. that means that it can accept both US and irish voltages without exploding too much

edit:i see you found your answer :)
