    More than welcome, and encouraged.

Although not being around campus much you'll have to make extra effort to show up to events. Posters etc aren't circulated off campus really.

Just join anything that seems remotely interesting and you'll get emails the rest of the year letting you know what's happening.
Oh, and as an excuse to get on to campus more often try and study in the library, eat in the Buttery, drink in the Pav etc. Just spend any free time you have talking to people you've met through societies and sports club.

But from previous experience I reckon you'll do a lot of your socialising with your class. You Marino types tend to stick together.

I know that in Comedy Soc we had a load of teachers from all three affiliates joining up and attending events.
As with every other student the more you do or try and do the more you will get out of society life in Trinity.

Disclaimer: ilovemybrick's above suggestion is only to be taken in moderation. College is more than just having a laugh, there's an academic side to it too apparently.

Nah. Ronny shes a first year, its fine she has loads of lives left in the glorified computer game that is Trinity College Dublin. Think of assignements or essays as part of the level you're playing and then exams are the level bosses.

Why didn't you come up with that analogy sooner? I'd have graduated by now.
