its not allowed but take into account that if you are caught its very unlikely that anytime will happen they'll probably just tell you to go home

Why do you want sex outdoors?
Is it the thrill of getting caught in the act? Does you girl friend just want to experiece the great out doors? Where were you planning on doing it? In a public park thats asking for trouble.

Seeing as I am talking to the Hormones as the head aint listening. If you must be smart about it. go di two fields in from the road. if you are going to do it in a tourist spot do it mid week not at bank holidays.

Think about being arrested, taken down to the police station, think about being up in court, think about ringing someone for bail .... and then Applying for a government job, running for public office, applying for a foreign Visa, somebody who wants to do business with you, a Pharma ceutical company, a Bank .... the list goes on. You think these people dont check your PPS no.? Your criminal arrest record is attached to your PPS No. and it follows you around until the day you dont need a PPs no. Would it be worth it for a grope and a poke cos you were horny one day before college?

If you are going to do it, you are going to do it, just dont get caught.

It depends on what you mean by "in public".

If you're outside, but people aren't likely to come upon you but by chance somebody does then you can say "well, were hardly expecting that, we were going about our private business", and you'll be fine (hell, who hasn't?)

If it's the middle of Grafton St. there are a whole bunch of laws you can be charge under (and one more if it's between midnight and 7am or you have been asked to desist by a Garda).

If it's in a licensed venue you cannot have genital sex or expose your genitals, anus, her nipples or your nipples if you are also female. You can do all manner of kinky stuff, but those things are a breach of licensing laws.

Untill they went on a trimming rampage in Stephen's Green about 2 or 3 years ago there used to be loads of little spots to do the dirty if you happened to be with yer missus about town and horny. Ahhh memories...

Phoenix park is good too but only at night. Yeah, it's completely illegal tho. However sex in your own back yard (as it's your property) far as I know is fully legal. Haven't tried that one myself yet tho.

Out doors and in public are two very different things,
it depends why, either it's to be out in nature or it is the possiblity of getting caught.

There are plenty of reasonably remote places all over the country where you and your lover will easily not see anyone for hours if at all it just takes a lil bit of planning and once you are happy with those places you can be more spontanous about it be it against a tree, by a lake or on the side of a mountain.

Choose your location carefully, the last thing you want is a bunch of drunken lads coming along. If I recall correctly this happened to a couple in the wicklow mountains and it ended very badly. Ok scaremongering over, just be sensible, if people see you it's probably not that big a deal. Some will go ohh matron, others will tut tut, only older people will probably call the cops. I've seen a number of people getting it on, in carparks ,fields etc. and never thought to bother them or calling the cops.

As others have said there's nothing wrong with a bit of outdoor sex, although I imagine it would be possible to get into hassle depending on where. Sex in public places on the other had could easily lead to you being arrested. Personally I'm open minded on either but I have no desire to put on a public display and/or get arrested for it.

As others said, go for it, but take obvious care. The thrill of possible discovery is to be set against the embarrassment and possible repercussions of being discovered.

PS your back garden while your property is not always ok in the eyes of the law. If you can be overlooked or otherwise observed then you can still get into trouble. I mean your bedroom is the most common place for hanky panky, but getting it on at the window with people walking by is not really on.

Not sure if it is near you but I hear there is a certain beach in Wicklow, just past Brittas, where it is very common for couples to get intimate alfresco! Some where like this may shake your inhibitations. I believe there are no inhibitions in the sand dunes!

Ya so sex outside.. interesting. I reckon just go for it but just be careful and discreet about where exactly you do it. I realise most of the excitement comes from the thrill of getting caught but don't put yourself at risk that way, it will cause severe embarrassment if you do get caught.

Just discreet about it and away you go..If you pick a quieter spot where you are unlikely to be caught then work away (unless she wants to be caught!?) - just dont worry so much about it!
