The weather was not really my friend for the weekend so all my glorious pictures of Ross Castle and the lakes are rather inglorious. I plan to use them for fantasy art.

Regarding the factory - they had an open day on Sunday, and invited the people of Killarney to see behind the doors because they were 50 years in the town. They were okay with cameras.

The Torc Waterfall was f29 for half a second at 100 ISO and a prayer that it wouldn't rain.

I like the waterfall, but find the colours a bit too idealised,

As I said earlier I love the waterfall shot.I think the vibrancy of the green works well with it.It contrasts very well with the black and white which fills the rest of the photo.

I see what you were going for in no.2 but I think your position was a bit off.If you had positioned yourself lower and to the right I think it would have improved the shot. The wheels to the extreme right would be missing and you would have the side of the central wheels in view.At the moment you can't see the side of the central wheels which makes them look almost 2D and flat.As for the shot itself I like the processing which gives it a very industrial look and I think the background clutter works here, reaffirming the industrialised image.

I like no.3,great lines crossing throughout the photo and exposed correctly so that just enough detail was maintained while the sky is still stark against the rest of the shot.

I'm sorry but no.4 doesn't work for me,there's not really much I can say but the subject makes a photo and this just doesn't hold my interest, sorry.

You could have gone a bit out the "Old Kenmare Road" (closed to traffic, actually a walk) when you were up in Torc, there are some beautiful landscapes out that way.If you're ever in the area again make sure to give it a look.I love that region around Killarney,it's what inspired me to take up photography in the first place!I can't wait to get down there again this summer :)

Thanks a million for the input. I would like to have done more around the place but I just didn't have the time.

No, I didn't. No filter at all, actually.
