Alienwear or XPS would be considered "gamers" laptops and are both made by the same company. You would have to check the specs for yourself as some of the entry level models may contain rubbish components that may be useless for certain games. i.e. graphics. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/xps_nb?c=ie&cs=iebsdt1&l=en&s=bsd http://www.alienware.com/

Dell XPS M1530 is the best bang for buck option, I just got one myself and I love it. Plays modern games great, I have tested COD4 (70-100+ fps ) and TF2 (50-100+fps) and gets about 4200 in 3D Mark 06 if thats any good to you

The 8600M GT is a great card for a laptop and is about as powerful as a desktop 7800GTX or X1800XT in my experience, It wont play the latest titles on high, but if you are interested in multiplayer games and are willing to use lowish settings / tweak its an ideal machine

I got mine for around 950 euro from the Outlet

    T8300 2.4ghz Penryn
    4gigs 667mhz ram
    320gig 5400rpm Hard Drive
    1680*1050 screen
    9Cell Battery

A similar spec came to about 1350 euro on the retail site at the time so you can make a great saving on the Outlet.. You should be able to pick up an M1530 with a 2ghz CPU and 2+ gigs of ram and an 8600M GT for close to 800 on the outlet ;)
