Heres one I took last night in Glasson. Just wondering if I could actually get away with it like this?

I know its a dark pic but do you think its too dark?

What are the + and what are the - ?
    Any feedback would be appreciated!

There's far too much of the photo in darkness(to my eyes anyway) to get away with it.I would clone out the reed encroaching on the sky and more importantly brighten the photo up a lot.On the positive side the composition is very nice with the poles leading from the left to the centre of the photo.

Not sure about this but I'd err on the side of it not working - and unfortunately given its dark state it doesn't leave you much scope for brightening (if in RAW then maybe you'd get a little brightness back out of it). I think there probably was a deadly opportunity to pick up a silhouette if your vantage point could have been around further to the right of your image? In terms of overall composition i think it may have benefited from dropping the frame ever so slightly to include a little more ground. Just a few thoughts. Hope they help.

    Cheers.

I appreciate the feedback... and more particularly how honest it is. Will take what you said into consideration while shooting it again.

Thanks for the advice AnCatDubh - Its in RAW but I think I'm better off trying to shoot this one again (its only down the road anyway!). I can see what you mean about including a little more ground.
