    Hi there,

I'm looking for a good relatively lightweight phone.

Would like to stay with Nokia as I know their interface fairly well and to be
honest I'm too lazy to go learning new interfaces :p

I was looking at the Nokia 6500 Classic (not the slide).

    Anyone have one?
If so, whats their opinion on it?
    Whats the battey life like?

    Tox

Now I don't have it myself, but a close friend of mine does and I do use it alot!

First off! Great phone, its form is slender/thin
Usual menus you'd expect from Nokia, looks good, gets the job done!
Camera is v.good for pics, but video is if-y
and im sure there are alot of features on it that I havnt even come across

    Overall!Definitely get it,lovely phone!:D

Great little phone. Good sound. Good battery life. Tiny and super light. Does almost everything most of the higher-end Nokias do quite happily as long as you're careful not to run too many apps at once.

Cheers for the replies guys.. I bought an N70 when they first came out, never take pics on it, never use the video feature, only calls, texts, contacts, calendar and an alarm clock ever used on the phone.. so going for something a little lighter this time and want something light and reliable.

Did some one say light, I think it is quite a heavy phone especially for its size. That is one of the reasons I bought it, small and slender, but I still know its there. I think that it quite a good phone, the only issue is that they have changed the power connector again. just when houses were starting to have the small pin charger.

It looks a lot lighter than it actually is its a pretty solid feeling phone when you hold it. As long as you don't mind being limited to 1gb memory its probably going to suit you pretty well.

Did they change back to the big connection at the end for that one??? Or is it a different charger again?

If thats all you want from a phone, use the Nokia 2630

You are probably thinking of the slide as that uses the small pin one and the new usbish shaped one whereas the classic just uses the new one.

+2 it is a great phone other than that memory card disconnect thing.
