Alternative PSP digital controller

I'm looking for something to replace the current digital controller (i.e. the 4 way one) on the PSP. In short I think it's sh*t. I'm pretty sure I saw something before for the GBA or similar where you could strap on a bit that essentially converted it into an arcade style joystick. Anyone seen something similar for the PSP?

Considering trying to make my own tbh. I don't like the look of that thick plastic screen. If I could get something that was just a joystick mod I'd be all on for paying for it.
