Brought the camera into Croke Pk yesterday. Not lucky enough to have a press pass.

Had the 1.4 extender to get a bit of extra reach. Here's a few:

Looks like you're looking down on the players?? Were you not pitch side?

Some great action photos there. Yes, shame about the result.

    Love the two broken hurleys.

Yeah was looking down on the players from the stand. Its pretty much impossible to get a press pass for GAA games in Croke Pk.

Nothing is impossible Chris, Nice shots, I had spotted the broken hurleys on flickr already.
They are very good shots, even better if you consider you were in the stands

Some great shots Chris, a pity about the result though! It would have been great to see Dublin make it to the final, they would have added something new.

Now its the same old story, Wexford will come up dreaming of victory and head home a few hours later beaten by 20 odd points. No one can touch Kilkenny in Leinster which is a shame.

Its coming for definite. Dublin are producing some great underage teams every year. The best players for the Seniors yesterday were all U21 bar Dotsie O'Callaghan.

I will be heading out to Parnell Pk this Thursday for the Leinster U21 Hurling Championship Semi-Final vs Kilkenny if anyone is interested in coming along.

    Throw-in at 7.30pm

They're great shots, I brought my new 2.8 70-200 and 1.4 extender to Trinity for the Cricket and was none too impressed with what I got, def no progress after photographing my 3rd match, only thing I can say really is the weather was ****e and it wasn't a 1 day international so there were very few attack minded shots....

I took many shots so very disappointed with the returns.
Fecked of after an hour for a few pints, have to invest in a Monopod too, the Tripod is just too cumbersome.

Super shots. You dont need a press pass if you get results like this. Love looking at photos of broken hurleys, all these intercounty players are great lads. Yeah the result was a shame. Didnt think Pete Finnerty was very fair to Dubs on Sunday game?
Also feel Dublin dont get away with anything like some players from "big" counties but thats for another forum. Well done.:)

You done well to get in any Cricket this past week. Prob as well you went for pint. Rain prob stopped play just as you left

Cheers lads. I might have a pass sorted for the Leinster Final. Well, I am hoping I have. :D:D

Any of the housing estates near Parnell Pk or the church car park. They normally charge a few euro.

Was that you at the hurling game on Monday night? Wasn't sure as I was over the far side.

    Hey OnLooker,

I'd be on for the match tomorrow evening, as I'll be out around Beaumount
for the day anyway! Have been trying to get to a few games this year
although I haven't tried shooting hurling yet!

Got to a couple in the football championship though...

Yep, me too, but can't see myself getting any sort of f2.8 zoom any time soon
so I'll just have to plug away with what I've got!
