Heel Supports ?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on heel supports?

I ran 6 5k races in the Galway series over May, start of June, had no problems.
However, on Sat I ran my first 10k in about 10 years, and yesterday and today I have a pretty sore right heel.
Any weight at all is sore, though it's not quite as bad today as yesterday.
The left heel is perfectly fine - though both legs were naturally a little stiff.

I realise its twice the distance, so I obviously gave my feet a pounding they're not used to, but I'm hoping to do a range of 5/8/10k races this summer to keep my fitness up.
I'd like to know if this will just ease as I get used to the longer distance or if its possibly something more longterm.

Many years ago, I used a "sorbothane" red heel insert, which would help if I was recovering from a football injury or something & needed extra cushioning in the heel.

Are these still around or are there better options these days?
Also, if anyone has had any similar experiences with sore heels - how did you overcome it?

My recommendation would go see a decent osteopath or physio or something. It may be something with the way your foot strikes the ground. If so a professional would be best
