A few taken in Ballybunion at the weekend. I'm very new to this so any tips and pointers would be appreciated. They are also as is off the camera. Zero PP. Thanks for looking.

Ballybunion Castle. Taken from the side rather than the normal frontl shot.

I think the second one could be good, if you had less sand in the foreground. Also, maybe less cliff.

I like the first one and maybe some shadow/highlight in the third one

1st one is good, nice contrast between your man there and the cliff. 2nd one is good also, should try it with a little less foreground as exile said. 3rd doesnt really appeal to me.. composition is good.

No.1 is very nice, love the contrast between the size of the figure and the cliff.I would prefer it if the cliff filled half the shot instead of the third it fills at the moment. Also I'd up the contrast a bit. This would make the cliff face look a lot more imposing compared to the figure. In No.2 I think you could have done with a wider lens, everything just seems a bit packed in.A wider view of the land reaching out into the sea may have looked better. For No.3 I think it's quite difficult to get a good photo of the tower with so little of it in view. The castle is the centre-piece of the photo but there's just not enough of it in view to hold interest.
