Christmas party / Closing down

    Hey everyone.

    Slainte is closing its doors this saturday for the last time ever.
    Being knocked in the name of development i think.

    Saw the sign there when i walkin passed today. they're having a party on sat, a christmas party aussie style. they puttin up all the x mas decorations, puttin in sand and the staff are all wearing shorts t shirts shades etc.
    should be fun

    I think I read somewhere too that it's one of the oldest pubs in Cork. Shame to see it go. No doubt they will build a soviet-style pile of kak in it's place.

    yeah its a dose,its kinda one of the oldest like alright,the vineyard was there before like and that was as old as they come. still a pain tho,was a grand cosy place to pint. i think one or two of them in there are opening up nancy spains again i think

    Thats not good at all, was only there a few times, played a gig there one night, great atmosphere and the owner was a1(paid us, and made sure we didnt pay for a drink all night).
