My cooker died this evening while making dinner.

Well, not died properly, but it wont heat anymore. The lights, fan, clock, etc are all still working but there is no heat at all coming from it. I assume it's either the element or thermostat that's blown?

    It's a Baumatic B904SS - http://www.baumatic.co.uk/products/discontinued-models/builtinovens/B904SS-B

No idea how old it is as the previous owners had it installed...but seeing as its discontinued, it must be pretty old!

Can't really afford to buy a new one, so does anyone know someone i can call to get it repaired?

Am in Ashbourne, so if anyone can point me in the direction of a cooker repair man, i'd be ever so thankful!

Having looked at some other cooker problem threads, I've done a search of ElementMan and found the right element for the oven. I wouldn't have a clue how to replace it myself though. Not that confident with electrics.

Cheers in advance for the advice!

I recently replaced the element in my own oven and its a very simple procedure. This is the link I found on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVOGhil4Avs&feature=related

It may help!! I know the link is not for a Baumatic oven but once you manage to remove the fan cover plate you can then see if the element can be removed from inside the oven or if you have to unscrew from the back. If you can diy it will save you for call out + labour charges

By the way, I bought the element in Charlie Shiels in Inchicore. Good helpful staff.
