There's a place on St. Anne St. and Dawson St. that do Nokia repairs...

If you link it up to your pc and run nokia pc suite you will be able to see all your pics and contacts and back them up.

GSM Solutions on Lotts Lane are normally good.

Wherever you leave the phone in, make sure you specify that you still need the data on it. The majority of repair centers flash a phone when it gets repaired.

Imho, if a phone was expensive enough to even consider repairing you should have it insured. By that i mean anything costing over €250. I really hate the idea of reparing a low cost phone when you can pick up a fairly good prepaid phone for next to nothing along with tons of free credit.

As for all the data stored on the phone, as lonely_soldier said, Get your hands on Nokia PC Suite.

I have been using the PC Suite for years and it's excellent.

Id check out the phone repair stores, but if they're looking costly, DIY!
Ebay have them for under €30 delivered, and their easy to replace.

Pop off the back, take out the battery.
Unscrew 2 screws (maybe 4, I cant remember)
    Take off the front cover
    Unscrew 4 screws
Take the circuit board out of the casing
On the back above the camera, remove a small metal shield (its clipped on, it just pulls off)
On the front/sides, remove the metal frame around the LCD screen (it clips in 4 places at the sides)
The screen is loose, except for the ribbon cable connecting to the back (under where the small metal shield was).
Hold the ribbon cable and pull it off, dont jank it, be gentle.

Replace it with the new LCD and all other parts (polish the LCD before replacing the front cover).

Ive done this twice... swapped LCDs, no problems, but be careful of the power button, its easilly snapped (speaking from experience).
