My long suffering rugby-widow lady friend has just spent the morning laughing at/berating me for my collection of rugby shirts after I foolishly branded her shoe collection 'Imelda-Marcos' like... She calls it an unhealthy and idiotic fetish/waste of cash....and left me shame faced when she calculated roughly, but accurately that i the last 3 years I've spent about 1,500+ quid (english) on rugby clobber...am I mad,sad and alone in this strange perversion or are there more of you out there....??

Just looked through me shirts quickly and I've got the following...

    Union

Munster '08,'06,'00 and old school stylee
Ireland...4 variants (3 canterbury and one nike)
Kukri Israeli rugby shirt ( a long story)
London Irish (2: Canterbury '06 and Rugbytech '08 home shirts
Argentina home shirt (swapped in drunken pub melee with similarly portly and equally drunken Argie in paris RWC 07)

    League

    Puma GB rugby League Jumper
    2008 State of Origin NSW
Leeds Rhinos, Home and Away, '06 '07 '08 plus classic old stylee jumper
    South Sydney Rabbitohs '07,'08
NZ kiwis 07 frontline test series jumper
    Salford City Reds '06

Oh christ tell me I'm not sad and alone in this addiction!!!!

That'll work Toomevara - hey look I'm not a freak - I found someone on the internet that's the same as me....!

Can't go with you here - one Ireland and one Leinster in circulation at any one time. Replaced only when they need to be, not when new ones are issued.

I have 7 France jerseys and 5 Toulouse jerseys. Used to wear rugby jerseys every single day of the week. Then I met my GF who hated them so I now I never wear them (unless Toulouse or France are playing of course!).

    5 Leinster
    1 France

I have to say that I have major issues with wearing jerseys (from any sport) as a fashion item, they should only be worn either when playing or watching sport.

With that in mind I have a couple of ireland shirts, '06 Leinster and a Tigers trainning Shirt.

Without wanting to get into rivalries I'm surprised by howmany posters have jerseys form two or more Irish provinces, I couldn't bring myself to wear another Irish Teams jersey.

I'd wear Connacht, went to uni in Galway, and without excessively patronising any Connacht fans out there, I reckon all Irish fans should adopt and support Connacht as much as possible (obviously not in games against their own provinces, but defo in challenge cup and Magners v scots and welsh outfits)...The Connacht shirt can also double neatly for an Irish international one....

An excellent reason to wear a connacht jersey.

Is that remark dripping with irony or not? sometimes one just can't tell on here...but used to watch them play as often as possible, so have developed a wee bit of a soft spot for the connacht boys...
