Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm sure you'll let me know if its not.

I have a games room juts built that is going to have the usual, pool table, dart board, bar etc and I'm debating what would be the best (and ultimately cheapest) way of flooring the space. I have thought of a few ideas.

    1. Buy a carpet remnant, even if it needs replaced, it would only cost maybe €100
    2. Vinyl - I have no idea of the cost of this
    3. Wooden/laminate flooring.

Bearing in mind that there is a strong possibility there will be spills on the floor, what would you guys recommend?
Or is there another option I havent considered?

    Cheers

There are some great industrial wood laminates available now. It's almost impossible to mark them and a quick rub of a mop and they're new again. The industrial laminates cost in the region of 25-30 euros a square yard. Where in the country are you??

    County Wicklow, just outside Arklow.

If you would like a quote, measure the floor area and tell me what colours you are looking for???

The room is 5mx5m. Not to bothered about the colour to be honest, just something easily cleaned and hard wearing.

This stuff might fit the bill - Rubber Flooring
    http://www.channel4.com/4homes/magazine/august_06/hard_flooring-4.html

it’s waterproof, non-slip, and comes in a range of fantastic colours.
In tiles or sheets, rubber is smooth or textured with a studded or treadplate pattern. It’s now possible to buy natural rubber, which is far more environmentally friendly than man-made. Virtually anything goes – smooth, sheet rubber has a seamless finish, whereas a textured finish will add interest to a plain room. You could also try it in the garden as a funky alternative to paving.

    Where to use it:
Kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and the great outdoors. Being antibacterial, it’s also a good choice for playrooms.

    How to look after it:
Treat with a proprietary cleaning product periodically.

    What it costs:
From about £40 per sq m.
