Intending on driving overland from capetown to europe next year.
Wondering if anyone who has done this could give me any hints or advice.
Also any related website recommendations would be good.

In particular I'm worried about Sudan and Libya.

    Any help welcome

    Hmm,
That will be tough (visas etc) I suggest you read a book called 'Swahili for the broken hearted' by Peter Moore

He goes from Capetown to Cairo via land

Im half way through a 2 year around the world trip and will be travelling from Cairo to cape town using public transport this september.

Sudan shouldnt be a problem, ive researched it quite a lot and with the exception of the Darfur region its one of the safest countrys in africa , your visa might be an issue though, they are reletively easy to get in Egypt but are notoriously difficult to get from any southern countries , espicially Ethiopia ... ive read reports of it taking over a month there. (compared to a few days in Cairo or even a few hours in Aswan)

With regards to Libya im assuming your intending to reach Morocco for a ferry to Spain ? I dont know much about it but it is suppose to be opening up as a tourist destination, alternativly you could look into the possibilty of a ferry from Egypt ?
