I bought my 450D in Mid-April and appear to be close to 6k actuations already.
Anyone else a high user or are you a reserved user?

how do you know your actuations other than looking at the counts on filenames? i can only guess my 40D has taken about 3,500 shots since i bought it in April... it's all due to burst shots...

I am going by my file number, I've never reset it.
I should also add is that I rarely use burst form so that makes my 6K even more astounding/ :D

i must try to keep the burst usage down... otherwise there is higher chance i'd be buying new body.... mmmmm 5D...

I could easily take 500 shots at a single game.

Wow! But I assume you use burst form and you're a pro :p
Although your photos you post here from the footy are well worth the high numbers.

On a sep issue I've just checked your new sig and entered your webby, in your profile you've the Arsenal sponsers board behind you, what's the story there?

I'd have to agree. I'd average 400 shots per game. Some more, some less. And at least one game a week, sometimes more events, and other stuff too.

I'm not sure how many images I've taken, but it would be a lot.

Me in my Cork City FC League Champions shirt, in the press suite at the Emirates Stadium. I swapped seats with Charlie George, while on a visit to the stadium.

About 1600 shots today at a Triathlon, 200 competitors in the pis***g rain :)

My Canon 350d gave up the ghost at about 70,000 actuations

Where you covering a game at the Emirates and which one?
Your story telling is not as strong as your photography. :pac:

I wasn't covering a game, just there as an observer.
    Arsenal v Reading, 2006/2007 season.
There's Arsenal pictures on my flickr, somewhere.

I got a new dslr about a month ago and currently the last frame is 8853. About 95% of them have been total rubbish though :D

About 11K actuations since mid January....or over 90GB of images....whatever way you see it, its alot!

Last few games I've managed about 250 each match. Sometimes less with a lot of keepers. Next big one is Norwich vs Spurs next month.

5000+ in 3 1/2 months, I've kept less than 10% as I usually shot long bursts
also, even the new 8gb memory got full twice recently, I blame NEF+JPG Fine have grown a bit since upgrading camera, but I'm shooting more pictures per burst now than before
    30 gb of files

5D is about a year and a half old, and between 60,000 and 80,000 actuations.

3787 since I bought camera end Aug 07 which is an average of about 380 per month. Not even the equivalent of a single game for the sports guys

Keith, how do manage going through all those photos day and night?

Not got many taken on mine, only about 1200'ish I think since I got it a few months ago. But I did just notice that my point and shoot one that I have been accused of using a lot previously when on holidays only has just over twice that number taken in nearly three years.
