Cirrus clouds late evening 20/6/08

    Always a sign of bad weather on the way but with a jet stream over Ireland and some high speed upper level winds, some nice cirro cloud formations occured and lowerd to altostratus stage quickly.

    and just 15mins later altostratus enveloped the sky.

    Tried to get some pics of that too last night, but still haven't got the hang of my new dSLR, every single shot bar one was totally out of focus :o

    I did notice lots of high white fluffy clouds that seemed very high absolutly flying by though, what are these?

    Anything thats high, thin and "shell-patterned" or whispy is a Cirrus type, that looks like Cirrus.
