Never used lightroom much but my eyes have been opened since i starting messing with it a bit more...

The first one used the 300 preset which Im really liking the look it brings.
The bottom two are done with my own preset...

Anyone know of any other decent presets around?
Also, any thoughts on improvements to the shots below?

i messed around with it at one stage but still found myself opening the result in photoshop which was only doubling my processing time. So hardly ever use it these days.

Get a trial version of CS3 and play around with it.

You wont want to go back to V7.0.

I do over 95% of my image processing in Lightroom. I find it brilliant. Mind you, mostly I just adjust white balance, crop and some minor colour adjustments.

Lightroom very much speeds up my whole workflow, and also builds my web galleries.

Really impressed with lightroom by now

Its amazing the effect the settings can have - it can totally transform a photo. One thing I havent seen here is a thread for sharing presets - perhaps people dont like to do this but it might be an idea...

I prefer the 1st, the 2nd looks fake, guess I'm old fashioned but I just like near as original as possible, it's a bit like real boobs over fake boobs, I just prefer the real McCoy/ :pac:

Took me 1 minute with my basic kit to improve the 1st pic, bit like those b4 and after pictures of fat people used by a diet company or a plastic surgery doc, the pre op people never smile, the post op people do, that makes a helluva diff b4 you consider anything else!

I've two mates into photography who are dead against image processing (straight off the camera or nothing!) - im all for it though - if we were all the same though it would get very bland (especially since we often head out together)

AnimalRights, your version is nice too though (also, nice analogies!)

Me - I like high processed images...(but real boobs) - mind you 99% of my stuff on flickr is unprocessed (so far)
