Boards beers?

    Why must there be mass meeting of the boardsies in pubs for beers. Lets all meet somewhere random and crazy like Dublin Zoo! Drink and drugs can of course accompany such a trip and hillarity in sure to ensue.

    But then Monkeyfudge wouldn't be able to go cos he's barred from the zoo

    I still haven't had the courage to ask him why exactly, I'm not sure my morbid curiosity stretches quite that far

    We on the GAA forum have regular beers. We'll be having one this Sunday. Some of us will be at the Boards Beers on Saturday the 28th and then meeting again on the 29th. Ours wouldn't exactly be "mass meetings" but we have a select and growing group. We may not go to the zoo, but we always get a few matches in, and get to travel a bit, so it is not just purely a beers thing. It's good to do things you like with others who share the same interest.

    There are the regular "official" Boards Beers, like the one next week. Our GAA crew have a few formal ones, and I suppose some other forums might do too. As there would be matches that some of us are going to, It is meeting up. Maybe some of the other forums do so, but they might not have the event to gather it that we do, that can then be used to have a drink or two after. I am sure there are plenty of people that have got to know each other through the Boards, and in small groups have meetings. Some of us on the GAA crew have done that, just met up for a pint, as any friends do.

    the next sunny weekedn day we all meet with beers and music at phoenix park or a beach or some other venue for a flash mob party thingy. Yes , i am drunk again today.

    Beers for individual forums are becoming increasingly common. Often they're relatively small affairs but there were probably close to 60 people at the BGRH beers last night. The one on the 28th isn't forum specific, it's just a general one for the whole of Boards. Any I've been to have been great craic, so if you haven't got a better offer for that night you should come along.
