Is there anyone who has mame4all running on the PSP who has donkey kong working too? I would have thought it'd be one of the basics but it's not working for me.

I'm dying to get some donkey kong action after watching The Kong of Kong. Savage film.

Got it sorted. Required a very specific rom set.

I have since discovered that the PSP's digital controller (i.e. the big one) is horrible. Never really used it for playing games before.

any chance you could share how you did it?

I've been trying for two days, it's wrecking my head.
I've tried all the EBOOT files that came with it and I've tried clrmamepro to convert the roms, still no joy. The roms show up but I just keep getting the 'unable to initialize emulator' message.

    What's your high score? :)

That emu is useless to be honest. Hasn't been updated in years

    Just spotted this now.

Ehm....I followed some instructions that came with it. I'll have a look for them. I didn't do anything special tbh.

    What firmware are you running?

Something not being updated in a while can be a sign of maturity and not crapness. It was running flawlessly for me tbh.

I meant as a MAME emu. Ok it emulates games from the 80's no problem but for anything post 1990 it's not great

    .

    3.90 M33-3

I followed all the instructions but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Usually I'd have something like this figured out by now.

oh and 80,000 points, just from playing on pc mame.

I'm on the PC mame myself.

You're welcome to a zip of the directory structure I have on my psp if you like?

What folder do you have it in and what is your kernel set to? Is it a fat psp and do you have the 1.50 kernel addon added to your 3.90 firmware?

I've just upgraded to 4.01 + 1.50 add on (from 3.71) and it's still working fine.
