Why Frank Murphy is only being started now is beyond me TOL has ****e for the whole tournament and we only improved when Murphy came on

Yeah, O'Leary was woeful, Murphy outshined him each time he came on.

Murphy really should have started the England game.

Whose Fergus McFadden and why did he get a place on the tour ahead of the likes of Fionn Carr or Felix Jones?

Leinster centre highly rated, injured in preseason missed the whole thing, ended up playing 1 AIL match with UCD last season, think Fionn Carr is injured and Fergus is IMHO a much better prospect than Jones

Nice, that 10-12-13 combo looks like an awesome attacking force, certainly better than what the senior side have been fielding! Good to see Murphy start aswell.. Those fellas will be lethal with quick ball

Fionn Carr not injured. Don't know why he is not there. Croinin should be starting, one of our few prospects at hooker so should be developed. Hope keatley gets a full half at least, looks an interesting player. Thank god o'leary isn't playing, shocking

I notice they played the National Anthem before this Argie game, whats with that? Are the A's not subject to the same rules as the national side re. the use of that tuneless dirge Ireland's Call when away?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭dc69

They played amhran na bhfiann instead of Irelands call :D

Inquitus it was a mistake, they obviously couldnt find Irelands call cd.

Protocol mix up on the part of the organisers i'd say. Anyone mind keeping the updates going?

    3-0

Sexton nearly created a try with some great play sucked in a couple of defenders and a really late offload.

Penalty, lineout - maul drives over for the score.

    8-0

Sextons break led to the peno and the try, he also misses the conversion to leave it 8-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,885 ✭✭✭madds

Conversion missed. Great start from Ireland though. Our pack are working very well together. Young Earls did very well in the lead up to the try.

lovely 3/4 move makes 60yds, shame about a forward pass a few phases later

Hint top Ulster sign Brian Tuohy and you have yourselves a very good winger with a actual prospect after preforming in the CC

    Ire 21 arg 0

    21-0 Halftime nearly

Unfair to pick out one player, but Sexton's kicking and passing game have been top notch so far.

Edit - great tackle and steal from Best just at the break there.

Cian healy laying down the law at 20,Id say he would have killed both of them tbh lol

How do people rate Keatley? I met him recently in a club on leeson street. He's quite short, shorter than me and I'm 5'9" I would have thought not "big enough" for top level rugby.

Yeah - the 2 Argies turned round to see who had a hold of both their collars...then decided against taking action when they saw it was CH. Good to see an Irish taking the game to an Arg team for once, and rattling them.

I dont think it would matter that much tbh.Once your well built and strong your grand.I dont think his size would affect his chances.

His Leinster profile says he is 5'10 and 87 kg's?I see not reason they would lie in the profile.Maybe you are just alot taller than you thought?

Dennis hurley is a grade A tool.If he had passed it was a try and he had about 4 seconds to do it,selfishness.

Edit, what a try.Keith Earls does the hard work, offloads to tuohy who passes to sexton who walks it.

Earls is brilliant and also very fast.If Munster dont want to play him ,he is more than welcome at Leinster:D

Is it just me or has Hurley been DIRE?

I guess we were all premature in touting him as a rival to Kearney after that QF.

to be fair to him he has been great running but just having a mare at catching. Kearny had a few shockers early on trying to catch the ball and he has improved. I expect hurley to do the same.
