Anyone know what the best software testing exams to do are in Ireland?

Did'nt know there were exams. More and more developers are following Agile Development methodologues such as Test Driven Development wherein Testing becomes an inherent part of writing code. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test-driven_development.

There are more and better tools for managing testing, maybe it would be more worthwhile to look at Software Project management like SCRUM of which testing and quality management forms a substantial part.

I can't see there being qualifications in testing software.

There is certification available, but it doesn't seem too well recognised. There are some links here:

I presume you can also get ISO certification for what that would be worth.

Take a look at Internation Institute for Software Testing. They have a vendor cert for Software testing (Here)..

Dont know how well this is recognised on the irish market or any others for that matter.

I did my final year project on testing and I have to say that James Bach articles are worth a read. Snake Oil test automation worth a read for everyone.

ISEB foundation level is usually asked for on most job specs. seems to be the most popular testing qualification in that a person knows the basics of testing.
