Got a 32" Samsung BD88X in Curry's around six months ago. Very happy with purchase but something weird happened this morning.

Plugged tv on and pressed remote to turn tv on and... nothing. The red light in the corner was flashing when I pressed the remote so it had power and was receiving the remote signal but the screen wasn't turning on. Tried this for around a minute and started to get very worried.

Plugged it out then in again and tried again. This time it turned on after about 20 seconds of pressing the remote. Screen quality was perfect but it's never done that before....

    :(

Leave it unplugged for a while and try again. Sounds like it's dead though.

Certainly not something to get too worried about - if it is broken, it's only 6 months old so should be under warranty.

Similar Problem With a Dell tv 2 years ago. Yes plugging it out will help for a while but eventullly the Power Supply unit will go. So send it back now.
