The Top Gear website has been previewing the new series, and we're set for another race: between Nissan's successor to the Skyline GT-R and the Japanese Shinkansen bullet train.

The bullet train travels the entire 1200km rail-line across Japan in about five hours, so it will be interesting to see Jeremy putting the car through its paces!

Japanese speed limits are also notoriously low, so it will be interesting to see if he can keep a lid on it!

Boat race across london & May racing the BMXers etc. The winner is always beaten by a nose! :pac:

    Then they'd have lost, surely?

    Is the GTR limited?

All Japanese cars are limited to 155mph IIRC

Of course the race will not be from the start to end of the bullet train track. The two boys will also need to hike up a mountain and then swim across a lake. I do enjoy the races but take them with a pinch of salt.
