    Will firing normal (not subs) through your silencer damage it or just render it ineffective as a silencer for those shots???

    No wont do anything to it.If it is a good suppressor ,it should even cut down the boom of discharge somwhat.

    I have a clamp on type on my Anschutz (didn't feel like cutting threads) and it performs very well with subs, using HV ammo through it doesn't stop the 'crack' but it does cut the muzzle noise down a lot.
    I mainly shoot subs but occasionally like to stick some different stuff through to check grouping etc.

    It is a Webley Pro System, I got it from a gunsmith 2nd hand.
    I know it is for an Air rifle but it works and works well.
    I guess the difference between a high powered Air rifle and subsonic .22 is not much.
