I did my leaving cert 12 years ago and did ordinary level maths which i have always regreted doing. I got an A2 and always wondered if i would have been able for honours. My question is firstly, does anyone know of anywhere in meath that does higher level maths as an evening course, and secondly, would i be able for it after being away from it for so long?

    Thanks

    Matt

I would say go for it. If you got an A2 in ordinary level, you would definitely be capable of dealing with higher. They would start from Junior-cert level, so you would need basic algebra skills, like factoring a quadratic or, say, cubing (x + y).

My guess is that if it's a refresher course, they would quickly run over other definitions such as the sine function, or the quadratic formula, that you may have forgotten. Failing that, there's always wikipedia or boards :D

I don't live in meath, so I can't really advise you on that.
