I recently switched from eircom landline to irish broadband talk package.

I have sky+ and I am wondering how do I connect it to the phoneline for box office etc.

I bought the siemens gigset phone which is connected to my airport extreme router. The problem the ky box is downstairs and the router etc is upstairs.

I assume you cant just run down a phone cable to your sky box?

Oops should not be reading in the dark. Let me start again,
you cant use the giga set you will need something like this "Netgear Ta612v"
    i use it like this,

Apple airport extreme router - Netgear Ta612v - and standard set of phones i bought in argos One main and 4 outstations.
works fine how ever my Blueface Voip wont support my Sky connection.. oh well... Sky works fine but they
charged me a once off fee of 28 euro .. for not haveing a phone line...

The phone I got is from IBB and its the C415 gigaset with APA included. Are you sure this does not work and why?

If I don't have a phone line connection will I still be able to use sky+ and all services?
Will I be able to get box office?
Will I be able to upgrade to HD if I want?

Irish broadband use VoIP via the Siemens gigaset. VoIP is suitable for voice but not for Dialup data. Some people have reported it to work but its completely hit and miss.

Blueface have a thread on it:
    http://forums.blueface.ie/showthread.php?p=5177#post5177

Seems to be a 70-30 % hit and miss :D

I may test it as im in holland, wouldnt be a bad deal to get another card here on a multiroom via a buddys contract in ireland.
