Ear muscle?

Im sorry if this is the wrong section but it seems the most likely for the question im posing...

Recently i was looking up how to wiggle your ears for fun and i was wondering perhaps if anyone can identify a muscle ive been able to tense but not too sure its the ear muscle i need to do it.

Can you recall when you shove your fingers in your ears or cup a mug (or some sort of small container) over them and theres a sound like wind or odd type static... if i tense my ear muscles in order to wiggle them should i get that sound?

When i tense a certain muscle(not sure if its the right one) but creates that sound in my ears and blocks away sound almost as if id put my finger in my ear and can feel them popping slightly... right now i can see a very small movement but when i raise my eyebrows instead my ears seem to go up a lot further

To sum up finally two questions...
1: Is the muscle im tensing the one i need? and just not developed enough to move significantly
2: if it isnt what is it? and what should i be tensing instead?
(already searched online but just need confirmation on if i have got the right muscle here)

    Thank you,
