Im a part time golfer playing 4 or 5 times a year, usually just a fair weather golfer. This year i have tried to play alot more so ive been down the driving range maybe once a week.

Now... this is where i need your help.

Anytime i use anything between my driver to 5 iron the ball is going violently right (up until this year i use to hit the ball from right to left now its going left to right). I dont know what im doing wrong. I have bought a new set of golf clubs hoping it would remedy the problem but its still the same.

    What am i doing wrong?

Get a lesson, it's a far cheaper alternative than changing clubs to fix a problem

I could almost bet that you are standing too far away from the ball and too far back from the ball at address.

I changed my starter set earlier this year to club's recommended by the teaching pro and his advice to me was to get closer to the ball and move slightly forward so that the ball is inside my left heel.

Nobody on this website has ever seen you swing a golf club, how is anyone supposed to do know what you're doing wrong. There could be a hundred of possibilites of what you're doing wrong. Take f22's advice and go and get a lesson.

If you aren't playing regularly then there's no way you are going to get better. Don't waste your time taking lessons if you are only playing 6 times per year.

Lessons are what you need but pratice is also needed....there are no quick tips nor easy remedies......sorry.

If you aren't going to invest the time then unfortunately there's little that anyone can do and you'll just have to accept the game you have.

lesson or no lesson, have a read of this ball flight laws. it will help you understand why your ball curves one way or the other for the rest of your golfing life.

if its any help you have probably gone from a pull-hook to a pull-slice, possibly after recently working on getting your setup and/or alignment more correct or less likely after a change of grip.

NOTE (my guess is only based on the fact that 90% of golfers swing out-to-in.)
