APAT UK Forum Championship - G Casino Blackpool - July 19th & 20th

    APAT will host the UK Forum Championship at the G Casino in Blackpool on July 19th & 20th.

    This event will feature teams from every major poker forum in the UK, and we'd love to add a boards.ie team into the mix if you guys have the appetite.

    We would need an in principle entry before close on Sunday, and a finalised team by the 29th.

    Tournament details follow:

    1. Who is running the event (organisation, society etc.)

    The APAT Poker Association & Tour

    2. The purpose of the event (charity, commercial etc.)

    The event is non commercial and players will not have to pay a registration fee.

    3. Date and Location of event

    July 19th & 20th at the G Casino in Blackpool.

    4. Registration and Start time of event.

    Play commences at 2.30pm sharp on both days. Registration will be via invitation of APAT once team entry is confirmed. Payment will be accepted via bank card.

    5. Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc)

    Players are required to be members of APAT. Free membership is available via our home page at www.apat.com.

    6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.)

    Seats will be made available for a team of 10 players from boards.ie.

    7. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.)

    The event is a No Limit Hold'em team freezeout. Players will start with 10,000 chips with 40 minute levels being played throughout. Players will earn points for their team by getting through to the final 50 players. A player finishing in 50th will earn 1 point. A player winning the event will earn 50 points. The winning team will have accumulated the most points in total from their ten players.

    8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc.

    Cost of entry is £50.

    9. Cost of registration

    The event is registration free.

    10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund

    100%.

    11. Any guarenteed prize pool.

    The field size will be 200 runners / 20 teams. There is added value in the shape of an expenses paid entry to a GUKPT event, worth approximately $3,000, for the winner of the individual event. The top three individual finishers will also receive APAT Gold, Silver and Bronze national medals.

    The top three teams will cash. The owner of the winning forum will win an additional £1,000 to spend on their forum as they wish, the Championship Cup and the right to call their forum the premier poker playing community in the UK and Ireland.

    16. Blind timeframes

    The top three teams will be paid and there is an added GUKPT package for the winner. There is also an added £1,000 and the Championship Cup for the owner of the winning forum.

    18. Are there going to be dealers - and their level of skill

    The tournament will be fully dealer dealt by the G Blackpool.

    19. Will there be a documented list of rules

    The event will run to APAT standardised rules, a copy of which can be found on our website.

    20. Is there a tournament director

    The event will be run by the G Blackpool, with APAT management available for consultation on any potential issues.

    21. How are disputes handled - who has final say.

    The TD at the G will have the final say on all matters related to tournament play.
