Sounds cool! I like this idea. But I can only see this going ahead in Dublin because that's where most people post from, just like the Boards Beers. It would be nice if it was held in some neutral venue like somewhere in the midlands or something.

Well you never know I would defo do one in dublin and if there were enough people owuld travel for a race, Drove to galway on a Sat morning a few weeks ago for a 10 k .

sounds good, you could count me in, or a boards relay team or two for the longford marathon?

Sounds like a good option because you would need at least 30 to make a good race. i'd be on for the relay too if people can put up with a slow leg on their team

Relay sounds like fun... Or we could do a boards meet up before or after one of the Adidas series races during the summer so that we can compete with each other during regular races.

Would the boards sponsor, running gear for the Dublin Marathon? Good Advertisement for them and nice when you get a hello from a fellow boarder when on the circuit. I would be willing to put our company logo on the tops which we will pay towards and I am sure that others may want to advertise on the gear too. Should keep the cost to a minimum for the runners who wish to run in the boarders gear.

This sounds like a good idea. The only people who can give you a definitive answer are the boards owners. Perhaps if you posted something in the feedback forum forum you'd get their attention fairly quickly. The owners mod those fora themselves.

I dont think i'd do the marathon this year, have a bit too much weight on me for that. But a half would be on.

wouldn't be on for any marathons or half marathons right now but would def like a 5 or a 10 km run. Part of an organising committee in our athletic club that hosts 5 hugely successful road races/charity runs every year (south-east area) and this could be an option for an inaugural BOARDS RUN.

anyone still on for this? can recommend some races for a boards run!

I'd be on for a 5k or so definately. Dont have the time to do a marathon or a 1/2, and don't really want to untill I'm old and have lost all my speed:p

Lots of people seem to be up for it, but who would arange it ;) . I'd help out but have never organised a race. Or we can all jsut pick a race and show up.

a decent organised race with small numbers would be difficult to arrange. id say we should pick a few decent races and show up. i know a good few btw

Hold off on that one, we've had to pospone that race.
One of our Two mile races would be fine though. We have 3 left. We would be able to have a boards race within the race.

    cheers
    Dave

unfortunately not, We were made aware we were clashing with a BHAA race that night.
The new date should be agreed after Tuesday night.
