This is killing me, I should know what they were called, but no one here can remember.

They're eyes use to move and a flap would cover them before they'd roll.

What were they in & what were they called????????

Dear god they look so damn familiar. I'm certain i had or at least once played with a toy of one of those round things. it sat on a kinda pedastal and would push on to it. little hole in the bottom little pin on the pedestal.

    Awesome show.

Here's one of the end credit sequences. It involved the good robots (the Zeroids) and the bad robots (the Cubes) playing noughts and crosses. Some weeks the good guys won and some weeks they didn't.

I remember one week the main good guy in the show got killed and they just wheeled in a clone of him at the end and programmed him with his memories.

I always remember one of the guys out of the Carry On movies was the voice of the head sphere robot.

Terrahawks - I had one of those little Zeroids as a kid (a toy replica, not the real thing which would have been great). Zelda though is incredibly scary and I can still her emerging from her door to frighten kids everywhere :(

Loved that show, especially the zeroids...Sunday afternoons on ITV before Jim Bowen on Bullseye....I recall seeing the model ships in some shop in Belfast when the show was on, wanted them so bad it hurt...they were waay way expensive though, probably worth a fortune now...
    Great theme tune too IIRC
