Accomodation for a first year

I'm (hopefully) starting Commerce in September and still haven't found accommodation yet. Do ye think it is too late?? I'm starting to worry a lot now. please help... thanks

Don't worry about it.

Just email Corrib Village, Gort na Corribe or Cuirt na Corribe and get a room sorted there. Corrib is a really fun place to live as a 1st year at NUIG even if it's a noisy/smelly/drunken place to live.
If that fails, try www.daft.ie

thanks, i went on to daft.ie last night and its pretty good. so u dont think it'll be too late and i'd actually have to commute??

You should be alright as long as you get accomodation sorted before the Leaving Cert results are out. I ended up commuting from Athlone to Galway for the first few days of my first year of college while trying to get a place - not fun.

Ideally you'd be looking for somewhere in the city centre, newcastle, or terryland. Anywhere east of terryland is too far for NUIG students. Oh, and stay away from Rahoon.
