Whats the best and quickest way to get from The Red Cow or Heuston in the morning and back in the evening to get to Ballsbridge ?

Currently Ive tried getting the luas from the Red Cow, get off at Abbey street and run to the Dart station and get off at Landsdown Road.

    Surelly there are better ways.....

instead of running to the Dart station you could get off the Luas at Abbey St and walk to O'Connell Bridge - is a bus stop for the 4/7/8 on the bridge and they'll all take you to Ballsbridge (fare is €1.50)

It might be worth checking out the Circle Line bus company to Heuston.
They don't have very many services, but if the times suited you, they might be worth considering.

as mydarkstar said get off at abbey st and walk over to Eden Quay for the 45 or O'Connell St for the 7. Alternatively, get the luas down to Connolly Station and get the dart from there.

get the luas down to Connolly Station and get the dart from there.

That involves walking from Abbey St to Connolly for next few months

Luas is only going to Abbey Street at the moment because of works on new Luas line. Reckon best bet is get off at Abbey Street, 1 minute walk to O Connell bridge and get 4/7/8 as previous poster suggested.
