Right i am looking for a few suggestions (if any) how i could improve my HTPC.

    My Current Setup:
    ANtec Fusion Case,
    P4 D 3GHZ ( Going to upgrade to Core2Duo soon)
4 Gig ram, Roughly about 1.5tb of HD space,
Running PVR 150 MCE Which my Sky Digital Box is running to it via Composite. And Running MCE 2005 Should i stay wiyh Xp Media Centre or going to Vista?
    32 Inch HD TV,
And waiting for my Z5500 5.1 surround system to come.

This will be running mainly HD files 720p and 1080p

bluray player? Pioneer BDC-202bk. you can get them very cheap.

If you have a HDTV you might as well watch some HD content.

Although if you are using your motherboards onboard GPU you might struggle.

9600GT or 8800GT depending if you are a gamer.

well you will have most things covered then when you get the C2D. There is not much else that you need.

have you tried the 6600 running 1080p files?

ye the 6600 would struggle with 1080p. I'm not sure if it is even HDCP compatable.

The 7600 is a much better card.

I'd recommend an upgrade to your graphics card, if you plan on watching HD-DVD or Blu-ray content from your HDD or HD-DVD/Blu-ray drive, to one that handles HD onboard decoding like the Sapphire Radeon HD 3650 or the GeForce 8600 GTS for €65 and €75 respectively. It will alleviate the load off the CPU, which in turn keeps temperatures down and your fans' speed on low.

If you only plan on watching HD content in either .ts or mkv format, then your current graphics card should suffice.
